It's colored!
I've come up with a system for the habitat to create a better day-night cycle, because the way it rotates, the day would only last 60 seconds. Lighting in the station would be weird, there's no escaping that. Ten seconds of noon, ten seconds of twilight, ten seconds of evening, ten seconds of night, ten seconds of morning, ten seconds of twilight, then noon again. But the way it's created (I tested all this using a beach ball, by the way), each little slice of land is never in darkness dark enough to call 'night'. So, an umbrella type object, rotating on the same axis as the rest of the station, rotates slowly around the outside of the station. It's divided in three sections, so during the day, it's behind the land sections. During the night, it extends out over the windows. Another idea I had would be to have the glass darken almost completely, like those eyeglasses I can't think of the name of.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Would you be willing to put this is the space=colony-society group?

This is very good. I like the way in which you make the habitat seem earth like.

O'Neill, who came with this cylinder idea, thought about three huge hinged mirrors. The cylinder would point the sun and the mirrors would move to emulate days and nights.

Perhaps, but this particular habitat is shaped more akin to an egg than a cylinder.

But I'm sure something like mirrors and/or shades could solve your day/night problem...

I suppose it would. I thought about it for a while and couldn't think of anything practical. But then, I'm not an engineer or physicist or anything.

This one is like a Bernal sphere and an O'neill cylinder combined, so I imagine the mirror system would have to have aspects of both.
